St. Augustine Florida - Anastasia State Park

We had a nice drive up the highway along the coastline on the Atlantic side.  We both were not that impressed with Daytona, not sure what we were thinking, but it was just blah.  We made our way up to the Elks at St. Augustine, but their camping area wasn’t that great and didn’t want to pay the fee they wanted. We decided to keep heading up north and hopefully find something.  Not even a block away I spotted Anastasia State Park (Campground) and they had a spot open.  We drove to our site and there were 2 tents set up and thought to ourselves we might have to keep driving. Went back to the ranger’s station and he gave us another spot which turned out to be a cooler spot.  The trees were so amazing w/the draped moss hanging down from them.  Bryan got our bikes out and we rode to the beach to check it out. We then we headed into the town for some snacks. Bryan wanted to see the local Amphitheater here and was hoping to catch a band play while we were visiting. Had a great night sleep and woke up well rested.  We hopped on our bikes again in the morning because I wanted to collect shells along the beach before the crowds hit.  We probably walked about a mile and I collected many and added to my addition. I found a super cool one in the photo below.  It actually is a black seashell that is shaped like a heart.  I figured it was my good luck charm for the day.  We got packed up and headed up to Savannah Georgia.
